Valves classified by operating temperature range
1.Ultra-low temperature valve
Specially designed for environments where the working temperature of the medium is below -100 ℃. This type of valve is commonly used in low-temperature engineering, such as LNG storage and transportation, low-temperature refrigeration equipment, and superconducting technology. In the face of ultra-low temperature challenges, these valves require the use of special materials and sealing structures to prevent material embrittlement or seal failure, ensuring smooth opening, closing, and sealing even at extreme low temperatures, and guaranteeing the safe transmission of media and stable operation of the system.
2.Cryogenic valve
Suitable for scenarios where the working temperature of the medium is between -100 ℃ and -40 ℃. This type of valve is commonly used in low-temperature industrial processes, such as low-temperature separation, storage equipment, and air separation units in the petrochemical industry. They must have the ability to adapt to low-temperature environments to prevent component damage or performance degradation caused by temperature drops, thereby ensuring effective control of the medium and safe operation of the system under low-temperature conditions.
3.Constant temperature valve
This is the most common type of valve, with a working temperature range between -40 ℃ and 120 ℃. They are widely used in daily life and most general industrial fields, such as urban water supply systems, industrial plant pipelines, and HVAC systems. The room temperature valve is known for its reasonable cost, stable performance, and convenient maintenance, and is a key component for the transportation and control of room temperature fluids.
4.Medium temperature valves
Specially designed for occasions where the working temperature of the medium is between 120 ℃ and 450 ℃. This type of valve is commonly used in industrial boiler steam pipelines and medium temperature medium pipelines in some chemical reactions. They need to have heat-resistant materials and structural designs that consider thermal expansion to ensure long-term sealing and operational performance in medium temperature environments, thereby maintaining system stability and effective control of the medium.
5.High temperature valves
Suitable for environments where the working temperature of the medium exceeds 450 ℃. This type of valve is mainly used in high-temperature industrial fields, such as steel smelting, glass manufacturing, and high-temperature pipeline systems for power generation. They usually use high-temperature resistant alloy materials and are equipped with structural designs that consider high-temperature factors such as thermal expansion, thermal stress, etc., to ensure reliable control of medium flow and pressure in high-temperature environments and meet the needs of high-temperature industrial production.
